The IPA is composed of five local chapters and the members at large. The chapters and their general area of coverage are:

Gateway Chapter; Belleville area (St. Clair County)

Illini-Area Chapter; Champaign-Urbana area

Northeast Pilot's Association (NEPA); Chicago's Northeast suburbs (Kane County)

South Suburban; Chicago's southern suburbs (Cook County)

Springfield Chapter; Springfield area (Sangamon County)

Membership-At-Large is available for those individuals who desire to join the Illinois Pilot's Association but are not located near any chapter location.
